Kentucky appears to be the first state that has shown some growing support for rook tournaments. Looks like they housed their first rook tournament in January this year. Hope Kentucky is not the only place that sees the playing of rook continue to grow so strong!
Do players in Kentucky play it differently than the original rules? I have not played in a very long time. I watched my parents play when I was a kid. I have seen here on Google that KY may have played it differently. I always remember my parents using the Red #1 card as the highest card with points. Has anyone else ever played it that way? Is that a KY thing or just my parents? Thank you
I have heard of a few variations in KY that are slightly different. You can see some the specifics at https://rookgame.wpengine.com/variations/. There are a few more variations expressed there in the comments as well.
